hi, i found out i was pregnant 5 weeks ago. i thought i was about 12 weeks until i went to the midwife who told me i was 30+ weeks. i went for an emergency scan which measured at 30 weeks. according to my dates at the time i could have only been 12 weeks or 39 weeks as my partner lives in a different country and i have not slept with no1 else inbetween. the midwife and consultant are all adamant that i am not telling the truth and they keep measuring my stomach and baby. i am very worried as what to think, is it possible to be full term measuring 9 weeks small and still have a healthy baby.
i am very worried and my blood pressure is going up. i am starting to get worried, fed up and depresssed and i know this isnt healthy for my baby.
can anybody please help? x

My daughter measured small throughout my entire pregnancy, and my 36 week scans estimated her at only 31 weeks, but I knew different. She came 3 days before my EDD (and I knew my EDD was correct, because of the timing on the conception) and weighed only 2.2 kg (about 5lb), well under the weight of a full term baby. She was perfectly healthy (and still is now at age 9), just little. I know that isn't 9 weeks, but just remember that it is calculated from your last period, not when you actually conceived. It could quite easily be a couple of weeks out just through that alone.

Thanks Jodi. I'm just scared because I have done everything I shouldn't have thorough out the pregnancy as I didn't know I was pregnant :( also I was on the pill so had no periods. I suppose only time will tell and as I'm 40 weeks I have at most 2 weeks left. I'm glad to hear your daughter was healthy as my consultant scared me talking about death and intensive care
