i had my mirena put in 5 months after my son was born and i didn't get my period at all which is why i had no idea i was pregnant until i started having bad cramps and went for a scan to check the position of the mirena and instead the doc found a baby 16 weeks along. the mirena was still in the placenta when my daughter was born 14 months after the mirena was put in :)

i have had the mirena for about 5 months and i have only had 1 period. my obgyn told me that some ppl will have lighter periods or none at all. from what i understand its very normal.

I did not have a period for 7 months. It's perfectly normal. It's different for every woman that gets one. I must have taken 10 pregnancy tests during this time lol. I wouldn't worry, eventually it will come, but if it does not come in the next month or so I would consult your OB. Hope this helped :D
