Hi Amrit!
I know children seem to need so many shots so I can understand wanting to eliminate the unncessary ones. Well, here are some points you may need:
For India you should have typhoid and hepatitis A vaccinations.
Gamma-globulin shots 2 weeks prior to departure (ask your ped. This protects them against Hepatitis A which is usually transmitted through food, liquids etc.)
You will also need to take tablets to prevent malaria. Also have some mosquito repellents with you. Some of the medicines you need to take are:

Tylenol (both infant and child)
Antihistamine (like benedryl)
Immodium (for diahrreah)
Cough syrup
Mild Cortaid creme (In case of some insect bites etc.)
(Once again check with your ped. for your specific case).

Also, be careful not to get bitten by any animals there coz it may give you rabies.

For the other vaccinations, you will need to go to your doctor, who may have a special travel clinic for getting travel vaccines.
