My son Griffin has a fever of 99.8 though he feels much warmer than this. We gave him Tylenol last night and he threw it up, so far this morning he hasn't thrown up his Tylenol yet. He did just start part time preschool last Tues. should I call hi pediatrician at home or is this just a cold and I should let it pass? Help I'm a first time Mom and this is the first time my 10 1/2 month old has been sick and it's scary. What do I do?

99.8 is actually pretty normal rectally for a baby. I wouldn't worry about it unless it hit over 101

99.8 isn't actually a fever - a fever is defined as about 100.5, so I wouldn't call the doctor. Just keep him comfy and make sure he's getting enough fluids. It will pass. He very well may have picked up a cold since he recently started at a pre-K.

make sure he does eat something though. try graham crackers if hes not interested in anything right now.

and keep him hydrated!!

lots of love to him ;)

He'll be fine. Give him lots of cuddles and a luke warm bath to help lower the fever. No need to treat it with Tylenol unless it gets over 101 or he seems uncomfortable.
