My 10 month old hates to eat!

My 10 1/2 month old daughter used to be a good eater, but within the last 2 weeks, she fights me every time I try to feed her solid foods. Meal time is very stressful, and it usually ends in a screaming match on her part to the point she is rubbing food in her eyes and her face is bright red from being so upset! Any advice on how meal time can be a calm event again???

My son is 15 months old now and every now and then we have the problem he is a good eater and not very fussy then all of a sudden he goes 2-3 weeks not eating very much this has been the case since he was about 10 mths,  i try and give him as much finger food as possible so he can feed him self, i also use 2 spoons one for him and one for me, i have found he loves plain pasta and really likes 2 eat abit of what we have which gets easier the older they get.  stay calm and in control make it fun tell stories or sing songs, lots of praise when she does eat! my son goes off food when he is teething too. good luck

Have you tried letting her feed herself some easy foods that she can pick up and put in her mouth by herself? I know my oldest daughter wanted to be very independant at that age and we went through the same thing.
