My son is 12 in December and still wets himself. I have had him checked medically and have been told he is perfectly healthy. I don't know how to help him. My husband thinks it's because he is being lazy, but honestly what kid would wet their pants just because they couldn't be bothered walking the 3-5 metres to go to the toilet?
It is causing quite a bit of unrest in our house. I have considered counselling for him, but haven't yet gone through with it because I don't think he will open up and we really can't afford it. He is my only son and I love him to death, I just do not know how to help him

Have you tried a lot of positive reinforcement? My aunt had this same problem with my cousin Tom who was 9. For some reason he wouldn't go. She made charts and at the end of the week if it was a perfect week he got to pick a reward from the store. If you have tried this, maybe have a talk with him and see If something is bothering him? Lots of luck(: things won't always be this tough!!
