I have a 2 and 1/2 year old she doesnt listen to me, she whines about everything, this started 4 weeks ago after I had my son. I have tried doing things with her when he is asleep but well that still doesnt seem to be helping. We also have stopped potty training. She refuses now to go and sit on the potty. I know she loves her little brother she tries to play with him already and she kisses him constantly but I know that having him has something to do with the way she is acting. Any advice???

My oldest did the same thing after we had our second child. She was fine for a couple weeks after we brought her sister home but when she realized she was staying she started acting out. She refused to potty train ( which was working with some success) and she had tantrums just general acting out. We decided against spanking and yelling because we didn;t want her do that to her sister and istead used time- out and took away her toys as punishment.

The tantrums lasted a good 4 months and until she got tired of being in time- out, and she is almost fully potty trained now. Our youngest is now 16 months. They get along great now and play all the time. She is very protective and sweet to her "sissy".
