I took him to the doctor two days ago and she told me he's to young for medication. Any good advice?

I use vicks baby rub. It would irritate his skin if I put it on his chest or back, so I rubbed it on the bottom of his feet and then covered them in socks. It was an old family remedy but I asked my pediatrician about it, and she said that doing this would work perfect for his sensitive skin!

Prop up his crib mattress or prop him up in his crib with a pillow, boppy, or one of those crib positioner things. Also turn on a humidifier. The only thing you can really do at that age is keep sucking the snot out with Little Noses saline drop and a nose dropper. Hope he feels better soon.

My lil guy had a cold at that age and the one thing that worked really good was the Vick's plug in vaporizer. Then we rubbed baby vick's on his back and chest which is safe to use because I asked my doctor and he said it is fine as long as I did not put inside his nose. I hope he gets better and good luck.

He is too young for medication sad to say but a humidifier where he sleeps will really help.

Our son had a nasty cold right around that age too. What worked well for us were steam showers and a humidifier that we would use in his room at night. It also helped to elevate his head when he was laying. Mostly at night while he slept. He was still in his bassinette at 3 months so I just folded a small blanket up and place it under his bassinette sheet. If your son is in a crib you can still do it the same way. I'm not sure why your son is not old enough for at least some Tylenol to help ease the discomfort. Remember there was recent re-call on Tylenol so you may want to do some research before you decide to give him Tylenol. Our Doctor allowed us to give our son Tylenol at 3 months of age. She calculated the dose for us using his weight so you will need your Doctor to do the same if you decide to go that route. I hope that your little one gets well soon! Good luck Momma :)
