Hi guys I need advice, I have been exclusively breast feeding now my son turned 4 months, so I tried introducing isomil as I will be going to work in two weeks from now, we cant give a milk based formula as he is allergic to dairy products, so I gave him isomil and after a while he vommitted so badly and ended being admitted cause he was dehydrated,, the paeditrition suspected that it could be gastro so we must give again and see if he'll vodamail it again, I tried it again, the second time he just sipped once and refuse to drink rest of the bottle, only that sip still made him vomit, and what scares me is, after vomiting he poo white stools whith a bit of reddish colour in it , the doctor took poo sample to test but no infection detected, could it be that he is allergic, am scared to try another formula, please advice

:( that is hard to see our babies sick. I hope that the lactose free will help him. Just keep talking with his dr and hope that it is allergies to the milks and nothing more. Just don't let drs stop trying to figure out what's going on til there are real answers.

My son is lactose intolerant and has been since birth, I was able to give him soy based for awhile then he started throwing it up and getting really bad diarrhea from it and had to stop. I then switched him to lactose free formula and he did great and now at 7 he still can't have milk or soy base. And soy makes him throw up. So it may be possible that he is.

There are a lot of specialty baby formulas out there. So I wouldn't despair. You just need to find the right one. And I understand that you would be scared since he got so sick from Isomil.
If I were you I would get my baby in to see a pediatric gastroenterologist.

They did some tests on him, tested his stools, urine and blood samples, all were negative

Thank u Kristen, I will try the lactose free, but it is so frustrating seeing him vomit like that, he vomits until everything is out , and even if there's nothing he keeps going on and he cries , he looks like he is nauseous, the vomit last about two to three hours, am so afraid
