my 8 year old girl is developing attitude

whenever i ask her to tidy her room etc i get spoken to like im a child or one of her friends tried grounding,taking her things away any suggestions?

very firm boundaries and never threaten anything you cant carry out. When you say no always mean it. Try giving responsibility
