Benji is almost 11 months and still wakes up for a bottle... He was doing great and starting to sleep through the night but when he got sick 5months ago. It just messed up his whole sleeping pattern... and what worse is he doesn't want to sleep in his crib anymore. When he was sick he had difficultly breathing because he was so congested i had him sleep w/ us so i can make sure he was breathing ok ... Now what to do?

I don't think that there is anything you can do. DS (14 m) needed one bottle in the night also...till we went on vacation last week. Water and sun seemed to get him exhausted enough to sleep through the night and so far he kept this pattern (almos). He wakes up a couple of times between 2 and 4 am (around the time he used to get his drink) but will do with his pacifier. So far so good *lol*. Though I have to tell you that I am awake far more often then before because he needs 5-10 "wakes" before he really sleeps again whereas he slept right again after the bottle. So I don't know what's better.

Do you put him in his crib for nap times? I would just be extra consistant and you might have a few bad nights but just keep putting him in his crib. If you don't take care of it now you'll never get him out of your bed......

well..I have two girls and I only fed them when they were hungry..then the oldes wanted to have her sippy cup in the middle of the night..I gave her water (talked to a Dr first)..she realized this was not milk eventually and did not wake up anymore..if you are still concern about his sleeping..why dont you buy him a toddler or twin bed already and ..that is what i did also for the oldest..and sometime she will want get up in the middle of the night or not go to sleep by herself so I slept in the floor right next to her..hopefully this will help you.
