so sorry for your loss having lost my dad two years ago now having to explain to a young child that some one very speacial and clos to them is no longer with us is a very hard and up setting task and at 21 months she may not really understand no matter how you tell her but i found the best way was to at night make her choose a star and that star is her uncle as an angel another good little tip is to tell her that although he is not here in person she can still speak to him i hope all our advice helps you in some way at this sad time x

to start off i'm sorry for your family's loss. If you believe or don't believe in heaven tell her that her uncle is up there riding his motorbike with the angels and having lots of fun or that her uncle is in a special place where only certain people go where they look after everyone on earth. but answer any questions she has to the best of your ability. I hope i have helped again i'm sorry for your loss. Lee!xo

I am so sorry for your loss Christina. I dont think there is ever one right way to approach this subject with children but if it was me i would tell her that her uncle is with the angels now and when ever she misses him all she has to do is think about him or look at a picture and he will be with her and you. I would also tell her that he loved her very much and didn't want to leave but (depending on what you believe in) sometimes people are needed in heaven. My mum used to tell us that when there was thunder that that was our uncle playing the drums next to god. Sound a bit corny now but as a child i loved it. Good luck and i hope you and your family can get throw this terrible loss together.
