I heard that Johnson's has a lot of harsh chemicals in it's baby products. I started using them on my son and he got really dry, flaky skin, a rash and dandruff. I have since switched. I did some research and found that a lot of ingrediants in the products offered in North America are banned in Europe. There was an expose on it a while back, and they had a list of the popular shampoos, soaps, etc and whether they are safe or not. Here is the link http://www.safecosmetics.org/article.php... The shampoo I now use is President's Choice baby shampoo. It is made here in Canada and doesn't contain the harmful chemicals. I use Florena Baby Cream Soap which is imported from Germany. I have gotten a ton of compliments about the way he smells and how soft his skin feels from family, friends and even strangers. These products cleared up all his skin problems and I don't even need to lotion him anymore.

Beware of natural products on youngsters. Lots of kids have allergies and can develop awefull side affects from natural products because of the plants and herbs used in them.

Could be from a number of things. Laundry soap and fabric softener bothered my kids and it took me forever to realize what it was. Some kids are allergic to wool and some fleece blankets bother them, could be a food allergy, or could be the product. Try stopping it for three or four days and see if the rash goes away or gets more mild.

Why don't you try all natural products and see if there is a difference. I have some Arbonne baby stuff, it's a bit expensive but its made for babies with sensitive skin.. also is she a newborn? My daughter had something they called "the newborn rash" she just had small red spots all over and the doc just said to dress her in cotton clothes and it went away. Babies can just be sensitive to certain things just like anyone else, like I can't use downy cause it gives me a rash. I would just eliminate things to find out what is wrong.

thanx for your advice. I'l try that, but my sister scares me about cortizon cream. She told me that it will make side effects?? i'm also trying different methods to see the problem like not applying soap directly on her skin etc..

I know my child had a problem with johnsons lavender soap so maybe try something else for a while and see if it helps meanwhile put some cortisone cream for the rash. hope i've helped.
