Lol...My 4 year old does that to my 8 month old....do you ever allow her to sit on the couch and hold the baby or help you feed her? And usually i put my little one in the walker so that she can push him...but not pick him up.

i used to have this trouble with mine the only way i could stop it was wen i went out of the room i took 1 of them with me and if i was in the room and it happened i would take the oldest away from the situation distract attention with something else and explain y they cant pick baby up takes time but they get there good luck

i bought my son a baby doll of his own when his brother was born and we had to buy one for my daughter when my niece was born, more so with my daughter, if she saw my sister bathing the baby we put a bucket of water down and showed my daughter to bath her own baby, it was a little expensive buying a few extra nappies and such but it worked for us

I had that when I had my son my little girl always wanted to pick him up, so I just told her that he was still to little for her to pick up and she would hurt him and then she wouldn’t have a little brother any more I now it sounds wrong but I always try to direct with my kids. so I started telling her that she can help me in other ways like ask her to rock him, or go get him a bottle, or give his pacifier, or something that she could do that wouldn’t hurt him and she did really good with hit she was the big sister with out holding him. but it would be a lot easier for you my little girl was only 1yr when I had my son so I had to do a lot to make her understand but once I told her if she hurt him and he wouldn’t be her brother any more she stopped picking him up and started helping me with other things. Hope that helps you good luck.

my neice used to always try to pick up my son when he was younger! it was the exact same thing, it didnt matter what we did she always tried to pick him up. one day i sat her down and explained the dangers of her trying to carry him around BUT i also told her if we ever had an emergency she might have to and showed her the best way for her little body to carry him...just showing her how to properly carry him and let her try it once with me right there was the trick with us! it might not work for you but if anything else shell at least knkow how to pick up and carry the baby in the best possible way. GOOD LUCK

Well, maybe you should just take the baby with you when you leave out of the room..How much does the baby weigh?
