My daughter is so hyper-active!

i don't know if this is just me or what, but it seems to me and my fiance that my 3 year old daughter has an excess of energy and sometimes there is just no pleasing her. If I do not constantly occupy her or am not always with her, playing games, etc., then she starts to act simply CRAZY! I understand that children need to be occupied but it gets to the point where I can't even do the dishes without her somehow stealing me away. She almost never takes naps and won't sleep in her bed alone. To be quite honest, it frustrates my fiance, who is not her biological father, because he feels I pay too much attention to her and that is why she is always striving for attention. I think it's just the age and that she will grow out of it, but in the back of my mind, I'm praying that she won't be diagnosed with ADHD. How young can they be diagnosed with that anyway, does anyone know? Does anyone have any suggestions? I want to feel like I'm raising a wonderful, smart, 'normal' child, but I can't help but think there might be something else going on.

well I have heard on more than one occasion that studies show that hyperactivity has to do with certain vitamins and minerals that the body lack. I also know that my daughter used to throw fits when I would get busy with anything else so I would take 5min and no longer to sit down and hug her and maybe read a short book or get her interested in something else before telling her that mommy has to go do dishes ect. and I would get up a walk away makeing sure that there was something out that she could play with or that one of her favorite shows was playing on the t.v.
