My fiance and I are trying for our second child. I am 24. We have been trying for 7 months and nothing is happening. Should I worry? I had an IUD, but it was removed exactly 7 months ago.

Don't worry I had an IUD in for 3 years, had it taken it out after I got I married in September (came out late October) and it took me 7 months to conceive. My OBGYN told me it could take up to a year to conceive after an IUD. Hang in there, try a ovulation monitor.

everyone's body is different. For some women they simply need to relax, for others they need a little help as there is such a thing as secondary infertility. Good luck!

my first child was an accident..fell prregnant while stopping one type of pill to try another i thought falling pregnant th second time would be just as quick..took 11 months ..and most of those months we used ovulation kits !! I would count the days in my cycle..and take pregnancy tests if i was even one day late..i know it sounds strange but my body knew that i was so stressed and my cycles went from being 28 days to 45 days...the one month i didnt buy a pregnancy test " just in case"...i fell pregnant ! Try to relax...tell yourself that ur having a few months off from trying..and mother nature will maybe work her magic ! good luck !

Hey I just thought I would add that sometimes weight is a factor if you are over then lose a little and that helps. Also (I know it's wierd) but if your uterus is tilted then sometimes all it takes it to turn on your side or flip onto your stomache after and just stay there for like 15-20 minutes. It worked for me! But mostly Becky is right don't worry too much, it doesn't help and really it will happen just hang in there.!

I wouldn't worry about it. It can take up to a year for your body to settle down after stopping birth control (especially if you were using a hormonal IUD). Besides, worrying wouldn't do any good right now - fertility doctors typically don't see patients until they have been trying for more than a year.

How have you been "trying"? Just not using any form of b/c, or are you tracking your ovulation?
