My son is three years old and he seems to not be grasping the whole potty training thing. He sometimes uses the bathroom and we praise him for it. But then he will go a few days of having accidents. He won't use the bathroom when he sleeps. I have just run out of ideas.

i made sure to ask my son every half hour if he needed to go to the toilet and we kept a potty in sight at all times as a visual reminder. when we left the house for shopping etc, we used those pull up nappies which have the wetness liner to let them know that they have weed, they helped a lot! all kids are different so dont panic too much, a lot of kids wake up one morning dry and never have an accident again. good luck =]

just keep on top of it make it fun boys take a while to get the hang of it and the night time bathroom brakes won't come in to play for a while it take longer for some kids to get that wake up i have to go pee feeling and isn't considered a problem until age 6 if he still wets the bed by then he needs to see a doctor to make sure there is no medical reason why. my son wasn't potty trained till he was about 3 1/2 and still wets the bed..
