I have a son who just made 2 1/2. Everyone keeps telling me that he will not do unless he is ready. Thats fine and good but at his daycare, he has to be 3 to move up and he MUST be potty trained. I work there and they are trying to get a new certification. And in the preschool room, they cannot be in diapers because there is no changing table. I have heard that putting them in underwear works. That would be fine if he did not go to daycare. I wrk full time and go to school full time. So he spends a lot of the time at daycare or with daddy, who would really not care to clean up the mess. I don't know what I should do? My son needs to be potty trained!!! I need to help!

hi,my little girl is nearly three and i trained her a few months ago. i started off by bringing her to the toilet every time i thought she would need to go,like after breakfast or lunch supper. at the beginning she would just sit there and not do anything which was fine,i think just to get them in the routine at first.and then when she did do something i would over dramatically praise her and tell her how proud i was.after about weak of that, i stopped putting nappys on her and kept asking her if she needed to go to the toilette throughout the day.she kept dry by a week or so after that

Well, I havent potty trained my son yet since he is only 3 mo. (although I helped my mom potty train one of her daycare boys), but I did see at babies r us these little shaped, colorful, fulshable spunge things that are for potty training little boys. You just put one or a couple if you wish in the toilet and tell him to aim for it and try to sink it. Make it into a fun time for him. Everytime he goes potty give him a treat or put some coins in a jar (let him put it in) and save up for a toy that he get to pick out at the end of every week (or whenever you want). hope this helps. good luck. oh also, have him go about ever 45-60 min. and have a timer set. When he hears the timer he will know it is time to go. again good luck.

The way I trained all my kids was just to stick them in underwear. They don't like feeling wet and yes it gets messy but they potty trained in a very short amt of time. What have you tried?
