my name is Alicia. i am a mother of 2 year old twins. Yesterday we took down my kids cribs and put up toddler beds since my son had gotten out of his crib. and last night we put him to bed and he kept coming back out and we would put him back in, all he did was cry and he made himself sick! he ended up sleeping in our bed which mean i got no sleep. so is there anyone out there that could give me ideas on how is get him to sleep in it.

Hi Alicia, i had that problem with my daughter. 1st thing i did was put a baby gate up so she had to stay in her room, i sat with her in the room till she feel asleep, over the nights i moved further out of the room untill she couldnt see me but knew i was there, after 2 weeks, she went down fine, on the odd nights she wasnt tired i gave her a book to look at, after half hour she would be fast asleep.

hope this helps

In the evenings take him outside to play. Chase him and kick a ball with him. Play all kinds of fun physical activities. I would say about 45 minutes to an hour. My daughter is 25 months old. She has been in a twin bed for about 7 months. She still gets up some nights and it takes about an hour to get her to stay down. We tuck her in and she gets right back up. Some nights she walks in there and lays down herself. Within 15 to 30 minutes she's asleep. Anyways, If I let my daughter get some physical activity before bed, then after bath, and bible study prayers, she is so sleepy she stays in the bed. I hope this works. Just don't give up. Tell him its fun to be a big boy. And remember, Mommy and Daddy beds are just for Mommy and Daddy's. If you start that habbit of letting him sleep with you two, he's going to prefer your bed over his. I hope I've been helpful.
