I'm on the home stretch with my oldest, but the beginning started out the same way. I had to take him to the bathroom frequently and get his daycare on board too. Now I ask him and he usually tells me no. But if he hasn't been in a while I tell him to try anyway... if he still refuses I get up and take him myself and he usually goes. If he has touble going I try turning on the faucet. And I always give him lots of good attention when he goes in the potty. I make a fuss and tell him what a big boy he is. Now we're in undies and he loves it. Just stick with it and try not to get too upset. My sister helped train her godson... and they used cherios in the toilet to help him aim. It made it fun for him..

The way we had to potty train my neice was we had to just put her in some panties and ask her like every hour or every couple of hours if she had to potty. Even if she said no we would tell her to go try and she got the idea after a little while. When she would have an accident the we would put her on a pull-up or diaper and she would either have to stand in the coner for a few min or she would get a spanking. Not a hard spanking but hard enuf to let her know that she wasn't supposed to go in her panties, that if she had to potty she was supposed to tell someone. BUT I dont know how you feel about doing something like that. It really didnt take long to get her potty trained. Hope this helps

Patience! If you are home, try letting him wear underwear. My son did not like when his underwear got wet. We explained to him that wet underwear could make him have an owie; the idea of having an owie there caught him off guard. Try one day of salty snacks and lots of fluids with a routine of using the potty every 45 minutes or so. It's just a matter of sticking with it, even when it's inconvenient and being patient.

i have the same problem with my little girl it is getting on my nerves but i don't like the idea of hitting her because she has done a wee, which is a natural thing that we all do. I need to find a way of getting her to understand she needs to we on the potty without scaring her. If you have any luck let me no.

I put my son on underwear and when he peed or pooped on himself I spank him and within a few weeks he was trained. My friend did not want to do this to her son but when she did he was trained quick because he was tired of getting spankings. Good luck
