All I can think of is the episode of Simpsons where Lisa was born and he was so upset both her and Bart called him "Homer" instead of Dad.

I only call my Husband Dad or Daddy and actually refer to myself and Mommy. It has become a habit though and people shoot you sideways glances when you refer to yourself as Mommy by accident when you're out with friends.

this is normal. 2year olds are at the 'monkey see, monkey do' stage so to speak. They are starting to connect the different roles one person can play. My son used to call his father figure David...but I realized what stage he was in and started using phrases like "Welcome home Daddy!" "Will you give Daddy this for me please?" etc, and Ethan caught on quick that he is David AND Daddy. It's a phase, when your baby gets older, she'll understand better too ♥

my 4 yr old calls my husband both. she also calls me by my name sometimes too. She knows who we are. she just likes too. if it really bugs you then make an effort to have every one call him daddy. but she knows who he is. and is just trying to be a big person too. it might help to explain about your parents and how you address them also.

Get ure man to ignore your two year old when he/she calles him by his first name n praise her when he/she says dad or daddy. I know it sounds harsh but they learn that if they call you guys by your first name they don't get attention. We did that with our daughter n it worked within a few days.

My daughter did this with Grandma, she was older 4 years and we told her it was nice manners to call people by their right name

I agree. We call each other Mommy and Daddy whenever we address each other in front of the kids. Actually, it's become such a habit that we sometimes do even when they aren't around!

you have to stop calling him by his first name and get used to calling him what you want her to call him (daddy) so she can follow your example. she probably notices you call him by his first name. try to do it everytime your little girl is around. i hope it helps :)

You have to start calling him Daddy and tell everyone , including his friends to refer to him as Daddy when they around your baby. She just wants to be like everyone else and call him by his name.
