Jakie every parent can put their child in the activities they wish I always say. My daughter has only been in this one organization. They are natural pageants ( no make-up, crazy hair, etc). Every activity no matter weather its musical instruments, choir, sport, etc are going to have those that we find odd rude or worse horrible parents. I think its all about the group and the family atmosphere that that group has. Miss Precious I have found to be fun.

Hi there!! My daughter is apart of Dream Girls USA and was 2013 Dream Girls USA Junior Miss WI and she is now Dream Girls USA WI Queen of Queens! And she is also Miss Holiday Spirit Queen of Queens! And she is 7. We have done a couple pageants prior to Dream Girls USA and I will never go back to any other PAGEANT!! Its all NATURAL....Real Girls!! Their company is called USA Productions! They have 4 different pageants in one! One consisting of a photo contest in which you email your pics and never have to leave home! All beautiful Crowns and sashes! We have only been with Dream Girls USA for 2 years and my daughter went from a shy little girl, scared to talk to anyone to this bright and lovely little girl who knows how to carry herself so well! Juli I just wanted to say I love the way you responded to the negative responses. As a mom of a pageant girl and working law enforcement, I agree that putting them in pageants doesn't increase their risk for stalkers, or sexual predators. How many people have heard about young soccer players being taken, young baseball players kidnapped or the kid in anywhere america being taken? You don't hear about every kidnapping or sexual offense committed everyday. If that was the way things were, you would never hear about anything else because at least one of these incidents happens every minute of everyday. The reasons it hit so big with Jonbenet was because it was the first time a glitz pageant girl was in the news. The 5 year old that was taken at random from a city park the same day, didn't even make her local news. Every child is at risk and the only way to keep them safe if to keep them supervised and teach them to avoid strangers and tell you if they notice one.

I guess no one learns from Jonbenet case? where the little girl who was a 6 year old beauty queen. I remember her being all over the news and paper. She had a stalker who killed her when her parents were absent.

Sex offenders are everywhere just look them up online and you will see that the majority of us actually live close to at least one. Any activity that you put your child in needs good supervision and you should always talk to your children about strangers and ways to be safe. I wish the best to everyone and their children it is hard for any parent to find their nitch of what they want their child in. I just find this pageant organization to have a wholesome feel to it. If you choose to put your child in dance, sports, Tae Kwon Do, or any other activity I wish you a great time for you and your child.

Jackie i totally agree with you, especially when there are perverts seeking out young children all the time, and that's how they also get selected for kidnap. Truly sad. Seeing padgeants, for them it motivates them.

I would love to get my daughter into them but not the ones you are thinking of. There are many like this one that are all natural. No make up or crazy hair like Juli said. At this point in my 10 month olds life it would just be because its cute to me, but if she were to want to continue as she got older than I would want it because it teaches them things like self confidence, public speaking skills, gives them competetive motivation without being totally competetive and all about winning. And also if they are in older girls' shows then they can get money for winning which would go toward college and such. Im not saying its something you have to consider, Im just saying these are my reasons.

I'm not knocking you choice of doing pagents and I havent looked up this pagent. I just dont understand the point of doing pagents. Would you mind explaining to me why they should be done. I have a huge problem with them because I dont believe that young girls should be in tons of make up and have their hair done like supermodels and be parading around a stage in clothing thats just not normal for their age. Let kids be kids I say.
