if you yourself eat a healthy balanced diet then your child will be able to eat exactly the same meals as you do. just make sure that you add any salt after you've taken out baby's portion and that any dairy is full fat. now is the perfect time to introduce flavours so add herbs and spices (in moderation!) ,my two both like mild curries and chilli con carne, spag bol, roast dinner... my girls' favourite is grilled salmon with broccoli and baby potatoes. fish pie is really easy to make in advance and freeze. have a look on annabel karmel's website. there are loads of recipes on there. hope this helps xx

My son LOVED brown rice. I went to costco and got microwavable bowls of brown rice. Put a little butter with peas or corn and he would gobble it up! Once he got a little older I would add chicken and he still loves it!

When my kids were that age, they just ate what we had for meals. Just be sure to have balanced meals for the family. We do a lot of grilled chicken and steamed veggies, meatloaf, chicken pot pie, tacos, speghetti, pork tenderloin, mac and cheese with veggies mixed in, etc. I've always tried to make one dinner and that's that. We don't do special orders in our house! =)
