Im 37 weeks and I was told that an induction is more painfull than normal birth. I have had 3 children already, my youngest is 8yrs. one out of the three was still born at 7 months and I gave natural birth to all. Now because of that, Doc doesnt want to take any chance and wants to induce me on Thursday. Is there any easier and faster way to bring on labor before then?

No there isn't (trust me, I recently tried all the "old wives tale" methods) but I was induced with all four of my kids and its no different than natural labor. Induction is sometimes even quicker which can be a good thing-who wants to be in labor for 24 hours right? LOL

In my experience my induction was the quickest and easiest.
I agree with what Jodi has said though. Surely instead of inducing so early they can keep a close eye on you. 37 weeks is a bit too early and can have more complications.

Not at 37 weeks. However, I would question a doctor who wants to induce you at 37 weeks just because ONE of your previous births was stillborn at 7 months. 37 weeks is not full term. Are there complications presenting at the moment? If there were currently no complications, I'd need a better reason than that for an induction at this point.
