I would like to give her a sponge bath daily but she hates it so much it makes me feel bad when she cries. Any ideas on how to make it better for her?

I don't think a lot of babies like the sponge baths. Hopefully once her scab heals and you can put her in the tub, she will like it. For now, I would just do it quickly to get through it. I did it every other day unless she got really dirty (lots of spit up or diaper explosions).

she 2w 1d and i do the sponge bath the same way and I keep her as warm as possible as well as covered (and yes her umbilical cord has come off just waiting for the scab to finish healing) but as soon as tghe wash cloth touches her she screams and starts crying and the water is not cold and not hot so i just dont know what to do

How old is your baby? If she still has her cord attached then just make sure that you give the bath in a warm place and try your best to keep her warm while you're doing it. When my baby was that little we kept her wrapped up in a towel and only exposed the areas we were cleaning and then wrapped them back up. She didn't really liked the sponge baths either, but once she was able to move to her tub she loves it. She kicks and plays all the time now.
