Its ok to let them cry. If my mum hadn't drummed this in to me i dread to think how clingy my son could be. I dont mean cry for hours but like controlled crying i think that what the "experts" call it.

"Gripe Water" this works much better than gas drops when it comes to babies and stomach problems.

Swaddle!! if you dont do it from the begining they wont like it later. if you swaddle right away they will love it. the first night home my lil one was making those lil noises that every one is so scared about. lil coughs and things like that. i swaddled him and less than a min later he was asleep. has always slept thru the night. its a miracle!! they even sell nice lil blankets that they cant wiggle out of for as lil as $10. good luck!!

It's ok, if she doesn't feel the instant "in love" connection. I hate how tv and movies make it seem like everyone feels this. Sometimes it takes a little time, and thats ok.

The Party America store in my area has a pack of Mommy Advice cards. We handed them out at the baby shower and let everyone give me a suggestion. It was sooo cute. Maybe you can have the guests at the shower help too.

Vicks baby rub on the feet with sock to clear up congestion and help with coughing

[deleted account]

My girlfriend is pregnant and for her shower I would like to make her a quick reference guide about things I wish I would have known in the first year or things that I am glad someone told me. She hates to read so she's not really into all the mommy books and stuff so I thought note cards on a ring would be good. Can you help? Also thanks in advance for your help.
