Has anyone else had a newborn that had their days and nights mixed up? any suggestions on how to get them turned around?

It is actually very normal. Are you having trouble getting your baby to go to sleep, or is it that he is waking several times for a feed, because that is normal too. A little more info would be helpful. However, one way I did it with my babies was to ensure their rooms were dark at night, but during the day, I didn't creep around and make no noise, I just carried on with the normal day. I also made sure they had more light in the room. This is one thing you could try.

she eats non stop, its like she never gets full. every night around the same time she gets really fussy and nothing makes her happy. I can pat her to sleep but as soon as i put her down in her bed she wakes up. she wont take a pacifier either.

I had the same problem with my baby at first. I tried keeping she awake and that made it worse. I found if she was to tired she wouldn't go to sleep as well. She wouldn't take a pasifier. The only thing that would make her not cry was nursing her. And as soon as I stoped, she'd wake up and cry. I finally found something that works! I feed her and then I put her in her baby swing. The baby swing puts her to sleep. The baby swing is a life saver! It is well worth it to have one. I have one that is for small babies.

Will she go to sleep if you pat her to sleep? Are you feeding her right before you put her to sleep? Maybe you can try to keep her awake a little more during the day and then she might sleep a bit more at night. Babies need a certain amount of sleep in a 24 hour period (and each baby is different), so sometimes, waking them from sleep and keeping them awake a little more in the daytime will mean they need more at night. Try that.
