my wonderful 2 year old took the whole jar of eucerin (the oily one) and lathered herself and my bedding with it. she was so proud of herself but now I can't get it out of her hair, even after washing it 4 times! HELP!

I am licensed hair dresser. I see a lot of people saying use Dawn.Dawn pulls color out and strips your hair of it's natural oils. I would not recommend using that on a child's hair, adult's it is ok but only to remove color. What I would suggest is mix baking soda in with her shampoo and leave it on for like 5 minutes, it should do the trick and remove all the oily lotion from her hair and scalp.
Good luck!!!!

the baking soda did the trick, thank god, it looked like I never washed her hair.

you can also try to put baby powder in her hair to dry it up and then wash it out like normal... but i would also have to say Dawn Dishwashing soap too.

its quite smelly....but a good dousing in vinegar, comb it through..then wash out with a good shampoo....usually works for my kids :)

when i was a waiters i washed everything in dawn dishsoap. cherly is right the dish soap is amazing at cutting grease. ive always used the original blue dawn. you can even put a bit in your wash for your bedding. but be careful not to get too much. it could be a mess.
good luck.

lather her hair in baking soda and then wash it...repeat as necessary. It should work.
