Need help transitioning from baby to solid foods.....

My baby is almost 10 months old but he doesn't have any teeth yet. He is my first so I really am cluless on whether I should start trying more solid foods because I am worried that he will choke because he has no teeth, I have tried mac and cheese and he will eat that and I just tried mandorin oranges tonight and he ate those but what else should I try that he will eat. He won't touch the 3rd baby foods so I have been stuck on the 2nd still. I need to know that more moms have been in the same boat and if not please feel free to give me some suggestions! Thanks :).

My 9mo old only has 2 teeth and we feed him most anything mashed potatoes, carrots (if you boil them until you can mash them into pieces he wont choke on, pees, green beans, things like that and if you fix your meat as long as its tender enough he wont choke on it either, rice, anything like that he should do just fine with. when my son was teething we used the gum stimulator that you put on your finger to help break the skin and relieve some of the pain.

he is probably just not used to a more textured food yet thats why he wont touch the 3rd step all babies are different. i started my kids of food at 6 months and i would go one step up after a month and a half so by the time they were 10 months they were on regular food and the teeth thing as long as you can shred the food like meat its fine dont worry about it every kid is different and they all go at there own pace if hes not ready he wont do it
