i have a 5 and a half year old daughter, a 3 year old boy and a 5 week old baby boy. i am having a hard time sleeping. i am sleeping on the couch cuz the swing will give me a little more sleep when i put the baby in it. when i lay him in his bassinet, he will sleep maybe 2 hrs and wanys to eat, so i will nurse him or give him the bottle depending how i feel and try to lay him in his bassinet and he will wake up and cry!!! i want to sleep in my bed but i just don't know what to do anymore, taking care of 3 kids is very tiring!!!

I agree with Tiffany I also put my baby in bed with my after he gets up to eat in the morning and I tend to get some more sleep in the early morning this way. Also do you have any family that can help. I was so over tired and just not feeling like I could even function so my mom came over one day and took care of my responsibilities. I went in my room and slept for a few hours straight which hadn't happened in months. That one day of a little extra rest made a huge difference I was refreshed and able to deal with the getting up constantly again.

OUCH!! It's so hard.

Have you tried her sleeping with you after she wakes for a feed? I did this with my daughter until she'd sleep at least 4 hour spans at night, which was around 7 wks for her. (Total ouch with an 18 month old son!!) If you don't want to do that, strap her in the stroller and roll around the living room. Yes, you'll get tired, but in about 15 minutes he'll be out. Or, you coudl do one of my favorites: Strap into carseat, place on dryer, and start dryer for 15 minutes. STAY THERE WITH THE BABY!

Also, I know you've probably heard this a million times but have you tried a pacifier? My daughter would only take the MAM's, the silicone ones. She only needed them to sleep.

I hope I gave you some suggestions you could use! Also, have you ever tried Gripe water or probiotics? Maybe he has really bad gas.
