How many people have or will put their child into a toddler bed VS a single bed once they are out of their cot??

I will be moving my son to a single bed probably when hes about 18 months....

i bought my daughters matching toddler beds... for the sole purpose that their bedroom that they share is small. the beds are smaller and alot lower to ground so they don't have far to climb up to get in bed and out. it was easier til we moved into a bigger house. whenever that maybe. if they room was big enough for two twin beds i would have went with that though.

After he climbed out of his crib and landed with a big THUD on the floor on Saturday.!! We went out and bought him a full-sized mattress. We figured, rather than spend money on a toddler bed, THEN getting another bed later on, that he would grow into his new bed.. LOL. He's 16months now and is quite the climber, so we put the mattress on the floor with pillows around. He does roll around alot, but hasn't roll off the bed! yet.. besides its a short fall. haha

I put my son right into a single bed - he rolled around a lot in his sleep when he was young and I used to worry he'd have too much trouble staying on a toddler bed. He loved having a big bed

cool, one of the other threads had everyone talking about toddler beds, made it seem like that was what everyone was doing. I scored a $30 cot from a friend of a friend and there is no way i am gonna buy a little bed and then a big bed!

i brought a boorie sleigh cot but its much bigger than an average cot, this way one he is old enough you just take the sides off and its a junior bed, it saved me allot of money and its adorable.
