If the close still fit and is in good condition there is no need to buy new ones. My oldest got two school years out of his uniforms. I have to buy new ones this year cuz he out grew them. The only thing I relpace every year is his shoes. Times are hard we all have to cut corners where we can. As far as fashoin is concered, find a public school system that wears uniforms, so when your twins get older the wont feel the need to fit in cuz everyone is wear the same thing.

I live in jamaica, NY and all the elementery, and middle schools in my area wear uniforms Mon- Thurs. So on friday(the kids call it cool close day) its like a fashion show.

I would say its fine..if they have plenty, then why buy more?

I totally agree...I only buy clothes when I need them..

I'd say that's reasonable. They're not going to really remember not having new clothes at this age and I agree with you on the new clothes getting messed up anyway. As long as the clothes aren't ragged, I don't see a problem.

I would look for sales and clearance racks when you do your regular shopping, you never know what you might find, one piece at a time :) Overall I'd say it's a smart move, especially in this recession.
