Newborn and buying clothes....

When buying sleepers and outfits for a newborn, how many do you really need of each size (0-3 months, 3-6months, 6-9months, 9-12months) before they outgrow them that is?

I found that I do laundary like twice a week for my baby. I am usually good with like 3 sleepers, 3 gowns, 6 outfits, and 6 onsies. The onsies I bought a little big so i don't have to keep buying them. My baby just outgrew her newborn stuff so now shes in the 0-3/ 3 month stuff at a little over 2 months old. I wold buy a few things one size bigger than what your baby is wearing now, just so that one day you're not like, "oh my god, none of these fit anymore." Also, If the baby fits into one size, they may also fit into the next size up too so you can buy stuff that is a little bigger and they will wear it longer. There also may be stores around where you live that sell gently used baby stuff. If you get an account there, you can trade the stuff your child outgrows for stuff that is his/her size.

I have to agree, it really depends on the baby.. my son is five months old and he totaly skiped the 3-6 mos clothes he went from 0-3 to-6- 9 mos clothes out of no where..he is huge!!! while my girls where in the 3- 6mos clothes for quite a while.

its just something you have to judge for your childs needs yourself...

it all depends on how big the baby is. my 2 month old weighed 8 14 at birth. i had some 1 month (10 pound) sleepers that he fit into for about 3 wks. he is 2 months now and is wearing 3-6 months. i give him maybe another month or so and he will prob be wearing 6-9. my oldest was 7 12 at birth. he fit into 10 pound for about a month and a half. he was in 0-3 for quite some time. 6-9 he wore for the longest time. he is 16 months and still wears 12 month pants, 12 month short sleeved shirts but 18 month long sleeved shirts. like i said it really depends on how big the baby is and how much they gain
