No Motivation

My son just turned 1 and I still have NO motivation! None! I can't get myself motivated to get anything done, from housework, to weight loss, to my finances. Everything is suffering. I was lucky enough to be able to lose all but 10 lbs. of baby weight by my 6 week check up, but since then, because of my lack of motivation I have gained it all (+ some) back. I work full time, and feel like I've always got something going on on my days off. Does anyone have any suggestions?

i agree with amy. I am 22 but was 20 when i found out i was pregnant. so i missed the festivities of turning 21. now i go out to the bars every other week. and i find time to do things for myself because if you are okay and feeling good about yourself then your child will feel it. believe me your child knows when something is wrong with you.

as for exercise now that it is nice out i love taking my son on walks.. long ones because it is good for him to get fresh air and the alone time for thinking and exercise it provides me is amazing.

ask your parents or significant other to take your child for a couple hours and take a nice long shower, get yourself done up, and go have fun with your girls. I would also suggest having friend with children but also friends without because then you have the best of both worlds.

Oh my girl, do you ever take time out for just you? That's a huge thing, even if it's just hubby taking the little one so you can catch up on sleep or a full day of spa treatment and coffee with some friends. It all adds up and if you don't take breaks away from it all.... house, kid, hubby, work.... it won't get any better. If you do this already I'd suggest doing it more often.

Exercising helps too. I really had to kick myself in the butt to get myself exercising again after my 4th last month but it's been worth it. I feel better about myself, have more energy and because I'm feeling good after it I get my other stuff done. I work from home though so it's easy for me to schedule in a quick work out each day.

You might even have post partum.. it can last a long time and isn't always just a feeling of sadness, it can crop up in different forms. Try asking your doctor about it too. =) Hope things get better soon!
