Hi Kirsty, Don't worry too much about your little one not having teeth yet. I am a dental nurse and Kristy Twist is correct. The later the teeth come through the healthier, stronger the baby teeth will be. They will also last longer than the average baby tooth provided they are cared for correctly. So there for the adult teeth will be much healthier, stronger etc etc. Don't forget to gently brush with a soft tooth brush and use a tooth paste designed for little ones twice daily. Start asap so that they get used to this habit and before you know it they'll be asking to clean their teeth.

hello my daughter didnt get her first tooth until she was 13months and she has been teething non stop since then she is now 17 months old and has 12 teeth. I also remember getting really worried because i though maybe there was something wrong. some kids just get teeth later than others and they say that the later they come the stronger their baby teeth will be and the stronger their baby teeth are the stronger their adult teeth will be. Also my neice didnt get her first tooth until she was 15months old and she is now 18months olds and still only has 6 teeth. But if you are really worried you can put your mund at reast and go and get it checked out by a dentise.

oh and i also used to look after a little girl at daycare and she was 18months old before she got her first tetth :) hope all goes well

My niece didn't get her first tooth until she was 15 months old, and ever since then they haven't stopped. I wouldn't worry, but to feel better, you could always call your local dentist, most of them will answer your questions over the phone and not charge you for an office visit.
