Im 28weeks 3days and 2 days ago I didnt feel baby move the whole day (i have felt her since then but). My sister asked her midwife (as I dont have an app for another week) and the midwife said that I should only not feel the baby move around 90 minutes of the day as that is when she is sleeping. But I only ever feel her move for about 10mins in the morning and for about 30mins at night...so im just wondering if this is normal and how much/often do all of you feel baby move throughout the day?

I never timed how long I felt my babies move. Just how often. If you can feel baby move at least 10 times in a 24 hour window all is well, according to my doctor anyway. Everyone's different it seems. =)

i had this with my daughter, but everything was fine,i was told as long as i felt her for at least 10 mins a day,she would be fine and she was,but if you dont feel right about it make an appointment to see your midwive or ring her.

You can have a lot of fluid so if the baby is 'floating' around you wont feel her as much.. But if you are curious drink some cold cordial, lie down and wait for the sugar to make her active...... But if you are ever worried that baby isnt moving much dont hesitate to go to the hospital so they can monitor... even if its just to reasure you.... stress isnt good for pregnancy!!!!

when i was pregnant with my little boy it started to get to the point where i couldnt feel him move, i was told by the midwife over the phone to have a bath, a cupper tea and a biscuit and wait a hour. the midwife said when you walking around it is harder to feel him move. so maybe your baby is moving you just cant feel her because of the movement your doing your self. im sure you have got nothing to worrie about.

Hi Sammy

I know how you feel it's very scary when you don't feel the baby move I used to have the same with my daughter she would only move in the mornings and evenings.. I would be so scared and wanted to go to the midwife everyday just so she could check the heartbeat. I have never heard about this 90 minutes thing my midwife said that If you would feel at least 10 movements a day it was fine. But if you really worried call your midwife and see if you can see her a little earlier? I assume everything was ok at your last check up? At the end of my pregnancy I didn't feel a lot of movement at all except for her bum poking out! She is a very healthy and active baby now and has been ever since she was born.. Good luck!!
