Just because some babies can handle solids early doesn't mean they are all capable of that. Besides the immediate issues of their tummies not being able to digest the food, and causing constipation, you have no idea what effect you may be having for the long term. My mother started my brother on solids very early because he was "so hungry", well now he's obese and has all sorts of digestive problems which aren't normal problems that run in our family.

No, you should increase his breast milk or formula, which ever you offer, and feed him as often as he’d like. 3 months is too young for solid foods.

Sorry Patty, but recent research has shown otherwise. 3 months is way too young.

that is all very true... but i have had wic nutritionist tell me the things i have done.. which is the reason i have done them.. i have 3 other kids which i have done the same things for.. all babies are different.. some are ready and some are not. some babies act as if formula isnt enough.. which i s why i mentioned it to drs as well as nutritionists.

NO!! His tummy is not ready for food. He simply doesn't yet have the stomach maturity to handle it. The WHO and AAP both recommend waiting until they are six months, and until then, they should ONLY have breastmilk or formula because otherwise, they can miss out on vital nutrients essential for their growth and brain development.

i also have a 3 month old.. he acts as if he would eat the whole house if id let him..
i started giving him baby food.. stage 1.. i feed him bananas.. he eats that from time to time. you want to at least wait 2-3 weeks b4 feeding him anything else other then bananas just to make sure he isn't allergic.. but i feed my son that he usually dose not eat a lot. good luck with that. the dr also told me, that if u feel he needs more after eating a bottle. start with another ounce.. if he still is hungry go to another ounce.. if he eats more then 40 ounces he needs to be seen by a dr. to make sure everything is ok
