I know it seems like this should be really easy " Just starts getting pictures together and pasting them" I'm just wondering if anyone has any suggestions in keeping it away from the kiddo's but still having it out to remind me to do it??? Thanks

for organization, i bought a see thru plastic container from Micheals, it's only a few inches high and it is made for 12x12 pages. it worked for me for a long time (until i amassed a huge collection of embellishments lol) so then i went to walmart and got one of those little portable plastic 3-drawer things, and it fits under my kitchen table perfectly. for my pictures, i bought a Creative Memories picture box things...(can't remember the name...ask on of the ladies above me :) lol...it's black and holds like 600 pictures).
or what you could do is get one of those pre-made scrapbooks. then all you really need is scissors and glue and that is easy to put up out of the kids reach.
or you can try digital scrapbooking (i do both traditional and digital)

i agree with the others--- get organized first!!!! i bought a big container at walmart that has drawers for all of my cardstock, paper, stickers, etc. then i have a smaller box that i keep all of my pictures in and they are seperated and organized by date/milestone..

but if all else fails- just have fun with it!!! scrapbooking is YOUR creation..

My church has a monthly scrapping event. So i go to that to get my fix and then i don't really have to have my stuff out at home if i don't want to. Check around and see if there are any groups you can join and then you get to make friends and get some adult time.

I am actually a Creative Memories consultant and the first thing they always say is to get organized! Organize by child or by year. I actually organize mine per child for their albums creating tabs/dividers for every milestone and organize other family pictures per year. Once they're divided, it's much easier to find a theme for a page. I enjoy the good old traditional scrapbooking where you physically buy the paper, punches, and stickers and create a page with your imagination. I feel it's more personal that way, but it does take time to figure out a layout for your pictures. That's all in the fun! On the other hand, the digital scrapbooking is on the rage! Simply buying software and adding your child's picture to an already set up page is much quicker and easier to do. It does cost so much per sheet to print, but compared to all the tools you would need for the traditional way, you're saving money. Let me know if there is any way I can help!
