My daugther is waking at 2:30am just crying. Myself or husband will console her then put down again and she wakes a minute later crying again. She has been doing it all week. I can't get a good nights sleep and it is starting to affect me physically and mentally. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

I would recommend giving her a nice warm bath with the johnson's bedtime wash and reading her a book or like Courtney said above play some baby einstein for her. I know that worked for my friend. I guess i got lucky b/c both of my boys started sleeping through the night at 1.5 months. Good luck.

Hi,
There was a forum like this a while ago that I replied to exactly the same problem for about 5 woman including myself.
My son who is 2 in October, will wake up at in the middle of the night, Screaming like some one had chopped his arm off. I noticed that he was still asleep when crying, and only woke up when I woke him up. We took him to the doctor and there is nothing physically wrong with him and he is quite a happy little man during the day, (apart from the odd taantrum). The doctor gave no suggestions at all. So I started researching, talking to other mums and put it down to night terrors. Very Common for toddlers. It happens because of alot of things, over-stimulation, scary things, and sometimes it just happens.
In my case, I stopped letting him do much before bed, He is somewhat over it now, has the odd bad dream every so often and wakes up crying, but other than that he has gorwn out of it.

I just want to let you know I feel your pain. My 16 month old slept thru the night for a wonderful 2 weeks and then she quit and is back to her old habits. I hope you find the help you need.

i agree with courtney, it could very well possibly that she is getting sick. If you find out that she isn't sick, then try keeping a radio with soothing music on low, and when she cries hesitate for a wihle to go and console her, if the music is playing there is a likely chance she will fall back asleep on her own. A nice warm bath right before you lay her down might loosen her energy as well. Hope this helps!

I play my son Baby Einstein Lulluby music, Maybe that can help? I leave it on all night for him sometimes so if he does wake up.. hope fully he can put him self back to sleep.

Also it could be that she is getting sick, or has an ear infection?
