Recently my daughter seemed to go through some mood changes. Now she whines whenever she doesn't get what she wants, being held for instance, always demanding that I am completely interacting with her. She is turning one on the 7th. Is it separation anxiety? Boredom? She isn't letting me get anything done!!!

Yep it is a stage but also a very important one. Let her whine a minute it won't hurt her. Just say mommy loves you but I am doing this right now. Then give her a toy. lol. She eventually start to entertain herself the more consistent you are. It also helps if you keep a routine. Like at about 9 you wash dishes or do this. It really helps her balance herself. She does need to learn how to have fun be herself or you will constantly be entertaining her at her whim. And lets face it even though you want to play with her all the time we have other things that need to get done too.

Yeah its a phase, because they can't quite tell you what they want yet so they get frustrated. I'd suggest a couple of playdates, ,musical dvds, maybe making a little hut with some toys in it? Pop her in the highchair and wheel her around the house with you with some toys on the tray.. hope this helps a wee bit!!

do you have any family or friends with children her age? If so seems like see needs more interaction. Her attention is expanding as she gets older.
