While I was pregnant with my Son I had a lot of discharge. My son is now 5 months old and I seem to be having more then I did while I was pregnant. It looks normal but I was just wondering if it'll stay this way or go away.

My discharge was similer to all based on your hormone's.Your hormone's are not back to normal yet it usually take's up to nine month's to a year.....sometime's longer. It just depend's on your body on how long it will take.I asked my gyn about it and she said also that around time for your period and after will get heavy discharge.Well hop i help a little.

I have had a discharge since I started puberty (age 10), and it got a little worse while I was pregnant. It has decreased quite a bit, even a little less than it was before I was pregnant. You could talk to your GYN if it is a little too much to check for some sort of infection. Vaginal discharge is normal, it is how it cleanses itself.

I got this off a website:

Other things that may cause changes in the appearance or consistency of your vaginal discharge include:

•Your menstrual cycle

•Emotional stress

•Any prescribed or OTC medications you take including hormones such as in the Pill

•Sexual excitement

•Your diet

Other things that can upset the natural pH balance of your vagina and lead to vaginal infections include vaginal douches, feminine hygiene products, perfumed or deodorant soaps, antibiotics, pregnancy, diabetes, or the presence of another infection.

Hope that helps!

I was the same way, and it tapered off for me. I still get excessive discharge right before and right after my menstrual cycles, though.
