Possibly pregnant, predicted by our dog?

My 6 month old pitbull has been acting a little differently this past week. He destroyed an extension cord in the back yard (not plugged in) that he had ignored before. He also decided to destroy the cover of an Ikea chair that we have in fhe yard. He literally ripped all the stuffing out of it, and it has been back there since we brought him home in June. He's never done anything other than sit in that chair before this last week. Yesterday he started following me around the house and sat on my lap for much of the day. I had to push him off me when I needed to get up, and even followed me into the bathroom. Today he still wanted to sit on my lap, but settled for sitting directly beside me after I had to move him off of my lap.

I've read and heard stories about family pets' attitudes or behaviors changing when a woman in the house becomes pregnant. My husband and I had only started trying for baby #2 at the start of the month, so it's way to early for me to actually know if we successfully conceived. Has anyone else had a similar experience and actually found they were pregnant?

Animals are smarter than people think. Your animals may very well be right. I know when I got pregnant with our oldest our cat went bonkers for a while too with bitting and destroying stuff. Then a little while later she was all cuddley. So, it may be possible. Best of luck!!

I'm really starting to think my pets know something is different with me. Last night I left the bedroom door open for my husband after I got into bed, my cat walked into the room and made herself comfy right beside me. We got her last October and she has never ever cuddled on the bed with me. The dog getting more cuddly was very sudden, but he's a big sucky baby anyway. But now the cat following me to bed has me weirded out. Definitely can't wait til the end of the month to see if they were actually sensing whether I'm pregnant or not. If I am, it'll be pretty cool to know the family pets are that in tune to the family.
