I have seen so much negativity in a lot of posts that I just wanted to see how many people would respond to a positive thread!

What do you love most about being a mom/step mom????

First of all thanks for posting this thread I also am getting sick of the negativity. I love being a mom. My baby boy is 3 1/2 months old and I have never been happier. I love everything about him the way I feel when I hold him the way he is always looking deep in my eyes the way he smiles when I talk to him and the way he talks for 15 minutes non stop as if he is telling me something so important. I love his belly giggle and even his fake cry. I love the feeling I got the minute he was born the first time I held him and every second since then.

My fave is probably the laughs. I love all kinds of stuff as a mom but hearing my daughter laugh totally melts my heart and I could listen to it all day :)

I love my baby boys soft skin, he’s tiny hands and feet, seeing him grow and learn new skills and how he always has a smile for me. I love my daughter’s quirky sense of humor, the silly dancing and her funny observations. I love when he uses her manners and bedtime when she gives me a huge cuddle and tells me she loves me. I think being a stay at home mum is the best gift ever. I also love when my hubby tells me I'm doing a great job with the kids.

When my little man wakes up in the morning & comes up to me & says "Good morning, I love yooooooou." And then gives me a big hug & kiss. So precious :)

It all, apart from the lack of sleep. I love the way my daugther is so full of personality and my son is so laid back, how they are quite a like but ifferent at teh same time. The little hand that holds you finger when they are tiny. The smiles.
But one of the funniest things is the comments they come out with.........................i would love to write a book on them!

The hugs and I love you's. Watching how proud of themselves they are when they learn something new. The smell of them when their newborns. How soft and cuddly they are as babies. Feeling my own heart swell just watching them trying their best to help out because mommy is having a bad day. Watching their butts wiggle as their running, it's so funny they don't stop doing it until their like 5. LOL! That their first instinct when their hurt is to call for mommy and all it takes to fix the boo boo is a kiss and sometimes a band aid. (in extreme cases a hospital visit but there's nothing to love about those!) Watching our oldest put into effect the lessons we've taught her. Hearing how well liked all our kids are because they are well mannered, considerate and have big hearts. Seriously this list could go on forever I have 4 kids and there is so much I love about them all and how much they've brought to my life. I always knew I wanted to be a mom but never knew how much I would love them and my life with them until I had them.

Big smiles when I walk into a room. Arms reaching up for cuddles. Kicks in my belly from bub number 2. Splashing in the bath together. Half closed eyes when he is so tired but just wants to stay up with mummy. The first time I woke up in the morning and realised that I hadn't been woken up once. Giggles when I tickle his tummy. When he throws himself onto daddy after 5 days of daddy being away at work...I could go on forever...
