Help anyone. My three old was nearly potty trained and then one morning she decided she'd had enough. Don't suppose anyone has any advice on how to get her back on? I'm getting desperate. :-)

try a reward for going....basically start back over! I would not push the issue but i would definitely tell her that big girls use the potty! We got princess pull ups and told my daughter that the princesses are sad when you poop or pee on them(this works really well if your daughter likes the princesses) Just hang in there...it'll work itself out!

My son had done this same thing a few times... I was told to put an oversized shirt with no diaper or undies on him. So that when he would pee, he would feel the wetness of the shirt against his body. (they also know this feeling from the diapers, when they are wet sometimes/always want to be changed) This give them the oppurtunity to realized what's going on, and for you to communicate that they had a slip up and next time do such, such and such...... If you are a stay at home mom I would recommend no diapers, all dat diapers are for night time only! I was going to school, and working when my son was going through this, he was in preschool at the time so he would also see other kids going on the potty too... After doing the shirt thig for a week whenever we were home, he never used diapers again, not even at night time! Good luck

My son did the same exact thing a few few times. I heard from a great friend to put an oversized shirt on her/him without a diaper or undies so when she/he does pee it goes on the shirt leaving a wetness against the body... (They already know this feeling from the diapers, and when they wet there diapers they sometimes/always will fuss so they can be changed) The only funky part about this is they will have accidents , which leaves you cleaning it up, but the good part is that when they do have an accident it gives the chance where you can talk to her and say " did you have an accident, we have to work on this, and such and such

Thanks. I hope your right. She has gone back to diapers for the last couple of months but maybe I am rushing. It just feels odd for a three year old to still be in diapers. I'm beginning to think it was something I wasn't doing right.

She probably just needs a break for awhile. Kids can be stubborn and if she's not having fun with the new thing anymore she's probably just gone the ah screw it method. LOL. Our son did this when he was around that age. Just don't push her, give her a week or two an start over gently. We pushed our son too much because we worried that he wasn't learning as fast as WE thought he should. Turns out our pushing him was just making him more stubborn. He got new gitchies from Santa at Christmas and let us know that he was going to wear them and he was a big boy now. Pfftt... stubborn kid knew how to go! He was doing it on purpose because we kept pushing. Kids act out in the oddest ways sometimes. Just give it some time, she won't be in diapers forever. =)
