Hola, my name is DeLorian. I am a 24yr mother of a boy and soon-to-be mom of a daughter. The thing I having an issue with is getting my 3yr old boy to go poop in the potty. We have been going at this for alittle over a yr and a half. Its discouraging to me and I try not to show my disappointment, but its hard. I praise him for all his good accomplishments, but Im at the end of my rope. I need some suggestions or some advise. I need something.

here is what to do. Go to the Dollar Store and get a bunch of little presents and wrap them up. Put them in a big bowl so that he can see them but not get to them. When he sits on the potty, remind him if he poops he gets a present. The first couple times he will ignore you, but he will want a gift so he will start trying. This worked great with my daughter.

I have the exact same problme with my daughter. I did get her to poop on the potty for a few weeks a month ago but now she only goes during her nap. When i was successful for that short period of time, I tried to not make it a big deal I'd say "you gonna try to poop on the potty?" she'd say "no" and i'd say "ok thats fine, you will learn how to some day" she felt like it was in her hands and just started to do it on her own! I saw that work for a little while with my daughter so it's worth a shot. I'd like to hear what the other women's advice is!
