If they are showing interst in the toliet at all, can make it through a nap dry and can take there clothes off you are ready! I used a 7 day potty training 'course' on both my kids and my sis did too. It works awesome if you are patient. You get rid of all diapers, training pants, pull ups go to the store let them pick out there own underwear lots of underwear (get some plastic pants for car and a few pee pads for night). I kept the kids potty chair in the room they were in, reminded them every 20mins or so to go. You clean up mess after mess for the first half of the 7 days but they get it the second half....stay POSITIVE cheer them on....and when they 'mess' you remind them were they need to go. Mine loved a sticker chart and I quit giving my kiddos liquid 2 hours befor bed. I was glad day 7 8 9 it REALLY WORKS!

I started just before mine turned 2. My recomandation for potty's is take the child with you and let them pick. It sounds silly but let them even sit on it. The more they like the better chance you get them use it. One more thing don't push them let them take at theyre own pace it is perfectly normal for it to take until they are 3.

I think with potty training your child will let you know when they are ready. my eldest was 2, she had started taking of her nappies so i thought ild give it a try. She picked it up pretty quickly thats how i know she was ready. my son in now 2, i dont think he is ready yet, As if he has a soiled nappy it doesnt seem to bother him. We have a potty that the part they sit on can be removed and taken to be emptied, instead of the whole potty. Either let your child be involoved in the purchase of the potty and explain to her what it is, or let her decorate it with stickers of her favourite characters.

Allow your daughter to choose a potty. Best way is to show her two or so and then let her pick. She will tell when shes ready by dry nappies after naps and an attenshion span that lasts longer then 1 min.
