My daughter is 2yrs and 3 months old. she usually tells me when she has to go potty. Other times she will just pee in her panties. Its usually just her and i home all day so i started letting her go around the house with just a shirt and no bottoms. when she has no bottoms on she always goes on the potty, no accidents. when i put pants on her she just pee's in them.... i dont know what to do..

I think that is fairly normal my son took a very long time and sometimes he would go potty just fine and other times he did not want to go at all it was very frustrating because I worked really hard with him have you tried maybe giving her some kind of reward if she goes for the whole day in underwear without having an accident Like stickers or something we used stickers for my son I know its difficult but just try and be patient and keep it up sooner or later it will get better for you. Good luck!!

I agree with what others are saying, but have to add that my son also did this...I found that if he had just loose shorts or pants on he didn't have accedents. After a while in loose fitting clothing I tried undies again and He did much better. I think that it had to do with the tightness of the undies.....feeling the likeness to the diaper. Patience...and good luck!

My daughter is about the same age and is doing the same thing. We started giving her stickers everytime she peed on the potty and she LOVES it. We are going to try giving an extra sticker for keeping her pants dry. Hopefully this is just something she'll grow out of, as well as her daughter. Good Luck!

My twin girls are almost 3 years old and they still have trouble forgetting to go to the potty when they have underwear or a diaper on. I think it just takes time for them to remember that they actually have to go to the potty instead of in their pants. I let the girls start the day with underwear on. If they go in their underwear then they go bottom-less (around the house). If they keep their underwear dry all day they get a prize. The girls finally having peeing down, but pooing on the potty is our big problem.

My daughter did this too..... I couldn't figure out what to do and I was getting really frustrated. I realized that she was sooo busy exploring and playing that she got lazy and didn't want to go to the potty! I bought her some of her favorite foods and/or candies, like strawberries, or m&ms. Everytime she went potty she got a strawberry or 2 m&ms and after about a week the problem was solved!!!!!

be patient! little ones often start and stop in the beginning of potty training. BE CONSISTANT! As the days go by you will notice that the accidents will get fewer and fewer...good luck!

buy her pretty prints...if she likes princess..buy her those and tell her "dont peepee on the princess, it will make her sad." lol.
i let my son run around just like you do. i was very fortunate with him. when he did pee on the toilet i made a HUMONGOUS deal about it. i even made up songs and told him to flush his peepee bye-bye. he got so excited about how excited i was..and all together it worked like a charm for him. he was trained by 2 yrs and 4 months. i hope my second is as easy to train!

I would just keep her pants off - id say the pants might be making her lazy, thats why she is weeing them.

I have started potty training my 13 month old, he goes every morning - but once he starts walking i will put him in pull ups.
It can be frustrating, but keep trying and you will be fine :D

yeah i'm having the same problem but i think she'll get over that as soon as you tell her no pee pee in panties these are big girl panties which is what i tell my son and tell him again that pee pee and caca goes in the potty and i frequently just sit him on it i ask all the time pee in the potty? have to go pee pee in the potty? and he's 22 months

I do pull ups at night but not durring the day because i feel that they are the same as a diaper. Durring the day i put panties on her sometimes she tells me she has to pee sometimes she doesnt. Is this normal? it is frustrating at times because somedays she will go on the potty evertime she has to go and other days she will just pee her pants.
