So, I have had two boys and love them deeply, but I want a girl sooooo badly and cannot wait to have this bond. I am a girly girl and both of my boys are just like their dad and I need a confidant. But with my ppd I don't want to go through it again and don't want to put my boys through it. So, my husband and I thought that we should maybe adopt a girl. I'm just wondering what people think about this and if you have any ideas on it. Thanks for any replies.

Girl, go ahead and adopt. There are TONS of kids/babies that need adopted. It is a long process though. And quite pricy. BUT TOTALLY WORTH IT!!!!!!

Even if you do decide to have another child, its entirely likely that you will have another boy which might upset your ppd even more. Adopting entirely bypasses your ppd, although all new situations take some adjustment periods even with adoption. There are many children out there who desperately need homes and don't have wonderful homes, like the one you could provide. I

My man is adopted. If it's what you want to do, I say do it. Just remember it can take a few years. But it's a great way to go!

my husbands side of the family seem to only have male sperm, so the chances of me having a daughter is highly unlikely, i grew up with five sisters and i have always assumed that i would have a daughter some day, so far we have a fourteen month old son, i was always interested in adoption (before i even considered having children myself) and i told my husband my desire to adopt from china, he agreed that it would be a wonderful thing to do. i am chinese myself, although born in england, i grew up with my father telling me what would happen to the little girls that didnt even make it to the orhanages. i read a book a couple of years ago called "Forever Lily" and it resparked the desire to pursue adoption, even though my husband and i plan on having another child i know that one day i will be able to help give an innocent little girl a chance at a good life. I think no matter when or where you decide to adopt its a wonderful thing you would be doing for a child. i would recommened reading forever lily if you get the chance as it gives you an insight to foreign adoption policies.
