I had a tie tube after the cesearan with fourth baby in 2009. I'm 28 years old, a mom of four girls. I don't know if it impossible to getting pregnant or not. But I wants another baby but couldn't afford it for reverse the tubal ligation. Some friends told me its possible to getting pregnant in more than 5 years. Is it true?

I had my tubes tied 6 years ago (Cut, Burned, Tied and Clamped) I am now 18 weeks pregnant with my fourth very surprise child. That procedure has less than a 1% fail rate in the first year and 1.5% fail rate after 5 years. Of those that fail less than 1% are viable pregnancies. Usually if your tubal ligation fails it will result in an ectopic pregnancy. I felt pregnant and My husband laughed at me but I've had 3 kids and I just knew and I was very scared it was ectopic. Despite the laughing I took that test anyway and then another when that one came up positive which stopped his laughing. Luckily it wasn't ectopic but if it had been ectopic and I ignored my symptoms with how far I live from a hospital I could have died. If you have pregnancy symptoms after a tubal please take a test. Pregnancies do happen after tubals ligations and they are sometimes very dangerous.

For your tubal, what exactly did you have done? My doctor told me that after time, there is more of a chance of getting pregnant. In fact, we already had one scare. Mine was done 6 years ago, 10.5 months after my daughter was born.

i have not but i guess it is more common if tubes were tied soon after delivery when everything inside is still swollen. I wouldn't worry about it tho, especially since it's been 6yrs. with no pregnancy thus far.
