I had the same problem. Acutally still do, I never had break outs until I got pregnant and they were horrible. Have you tried proactive, this really helped me. I also made sure to change my pillow case every few days and wash my makeup brushes at least once a week. Remember anything you can use topical is ok.

Cuz everytime i go out, i start noticing all the faces of the pregnant ladies and they are so nice so makes me feel so sad and feeling that i am the only one having this problem
I think i just have to bear with it and start thinking positively ...
will take into consideration of some of the tips..
Anyway i know that I want what is best for the baby and hopefully when she arrived everything will go back to normal....thanks guys

i know exactly how you feel. at the end of my first trimester i started getting what i thought were just breakouts. i noticed that the pimples were getting bigger and bigger. it turned out that i got what are called hemangioma. i dont think i spelt it right, but basically all they are is pockets of blood vessels. i guess they are more common in babies. i still have them on my face to this day. i had to got to the dermatologist to see what they were because my doctors had never seen anything like it. it turns out that my case is one of the more severe ones. as far as how it makes me feel, well, i have learned to deal with it, but i am still VERY bothered by them. when i was pregnant i felt like i had enough to deal with, enough stress about my body changing. that was the last thing i needed. my advice to you would be to hang in there and drink tons of water...it'll clear up. congrats on your baby to be!

ohmygosh when i was pregnant my face broke out soooo bad! It was horrible, Mostly on my forehead which was never like that. IT was almost like a rash bc there were never any whiteheads, just reddish bumps. I literally tried EVERYTHING, i bought 40$facewash, proactiv, eveytthing you could think of. Nothing worked. Finally after i had my son, it was like an instant clear up. So it's def not just you.. And im sure itll clear up after you have your baby. Seems like a long time, trust me i know.. but in the mean time, you should try using neutrogena oil free acne wash pink grapefruit.. Anytime my face is starting to break out now, this clears it up. It may help you! Goodluck

A facial with a Beauty Therapist is safe (so long as you tell them you're pregnant first). Regular cleansing, exfoliating and moisturising will also help.

take care xox

You can try using Clinic products but your hormones are taking over. It's natural for this to happen. I use to get yest infections with my pregnancy's and i never got it before so don't feel bad, but use natural things to try and clear up some of your acne if you want. You don't have long to go, i wish you the best of luck to you and your family :)

Oh and keep your hair off your face as much as possible. The oils in your hair can cause breakouts. So try to at least wear your hair up at night.

Oh my gosh! I am 20 weeks too an about to post this same thing. As much as you don't want to know this, You made me feel better knowing I'm not the only one suffering. I bought proactive but it didn't do much at all. I did by a mint julep mask, and it really dries them out, So I was pleased with this allot. I use physicians formula make-up too, its more natural and helps me. At least I feel that way. Good luck, I feel the same though, and you aren't alone.
PS- I heard a wives tale that you have worse acne when its a girl.

Oh, honey it's so common to break out when you're pregnant. The only thing I can suggest that is safe for baby is topical stuff like putting toothpaste on big zits (don't know why that works but it does), warm chamomile tea bags on blemishes, and unscented hypo-allergenic facial moisturizer with an SPF of at least 15. Other than that, no there isn't much else you can do. :/

Yes - I have two products that help. Acne isnt just because of hormones, its also caused from your ph balance in your body being a bit acidic/ or even having toxins in your body too. We have Ultimate Aloe Juice -- we give this product to babies, and I know of other pregnant women who have taken it as well. Its all pure aloe with all the minerals and vitamins found in Aloe. It'll be a great way to boost your immune system, balance your ph , and cleanse out your system. The other product is called Complete Greens, its a whole food supplement in which you either take the capsule form or powder form (you can mix it with whatever you like) and it provides you with your 9 daily servings of greens. It helps to balance your ph as well. And to go a bit further, we have an Isotonic Prenatal Vitamin as well, comes in a powder form, you mix it with 2 oz. of water and drink it down (tastes citrisy) -- and being Isotonic, it is digested in 5 to 10 min, and you get 90% of the product -- this product was requested by our pregnant customers who didnt like taking a pill, and needed the vitamins etc. that are essential during/after pregancy.

These breakouts are the result of the changing hormones in your body. Unfortunately there isn't much you can do, fortunately it will go away (in much less time than puberty took!) I know how difficult those breakouts can be - you can try natural makeups (BareMinerals from Bare Escentuals is great) but if it's really bothering you go to the dermatologist - there are some topical treatments that are safe during pregnancy. (Explain your problem over the phone before you go in for an appointment - not many dermatologists will know off hand what's safe in pregnancy and what's not).

Hang in there!
